Our Ohana Trip Florida Aug 19 - Sat, Day 1

So we started day 1 by having breakfast in clarion. Mickey waffles you make yourself were lovely. Other breakfast was fine too, it was $10 per adult and $5 per child over 5 years.

After that we checked out and went to publix for a look around, then over to the Vineland outlets to check out the character warehouse. We were there by 9.50 but there was still a long queue already.

My Mia has been waiting for this holiday to go buy a Banshee. We had heard then they had some in the character warehouse so wanted to try our luck.

We raced in with the crowds and when we got to the shelf there were two left that we grabbed! My niece wanted one too so they were both happy girls. As were we since they were only $10 each rather than $90 in the park! Shocking!

We stopped in Walmart for some liquid stock 🤣👍. Waters, beers and snacks bought we headed over to Disney's Coronado springs.

Wow! I am so impressed with the tower. It's so beautiful and well done out with its theming.

It was only 12.30 and the rooms were ready which was great. We requested Cabanas and that's what we got. The rooms are so nice! I love the wood floor and just how luxurious it feels.

We unpacked and settled in before getting ready to go for a swim and pick up our refillable mugs. All stocked up we headed for the pool.

After our pool time we explored the resort, it's really nice and if highly recommend.

Tonight we are using our first table service credit in boma in animal kingdom. What a great choice.

The food here we great, another one of recommend. Adults can have alcohol as part of the dining plan. The meat freshly carved was so good. Really something for everyone.

We went out to see the animals around the grounds. I would love to stay here one day.

We all enjoyed seeing the animals before heading to animal kingdom.

First up... Everest!

Theo won't go on many rides I don't think, plus my sister Steph doesn't really do coasters.

This was must darker than I remember 🤣 but we all loved it, other than a few tears from Chloe.

Onto Kilimanjaro Safari which everyone rode. We saw most of the animals which was nice.

Having used two of our fast passes we had one for FOP left which we couldn't wait for!

We headed over to Pandora to see it at night. This was great. They have done an amazing job with this.

We rode flight of passage.

I was speechless. Soaring was one of my faves but FOP just took over the no 1 spot. We all loved it! Theo had a major melt down in the first video room and ran out so Steph had to follow so she missed out. We did make her explain to a cast member so she could ride alone which they did allow. Even though she was concerned about sickness she loved it too.

There was a drumming show as we were leaving so we watched that and then made our way back to Coronado springs.

A great first day, which was Friday not Saturday like I said in the title. I blame the jet lag.
