Changing Car hire with BA
After reading the dreadful reviews of Avis at Miami I am wondering if anyone has changed their car hire provider with BA?
The only other option is with Budget - are they any better? I can't ring BA right now as its booked in DH name! |

It's a little concerning but I expect a lot of people also get good service, they just don't come on here and shout about it when they do.
I have a car booked through Avis but from Sanford and I'm going to keep it, I'm sure it will be fine Edited at 02:37 PM. |

I'm sure Avis & Budget are same company so not sure if service would be any better.

We've booked through BA/Avis a few times at Miami and we've had nothing but good service, and last year they gave us a free upgrade, we've never had any additional charges put on when picking up the car or coming home. I'm sure every car provider has it's issues, but most people will complain about poor service rather than the exceptional service.
We're renting from Tampa this year and dropping off in Miami, so am interested to see any differences!

BA's alternative is Budget, who are the same company.
You'll be fine with Avis, all rental companies have their good & bad points & you only ever hear the bad stuff about them.

Budget and Avis are one of the same.
But why would you change your rental company because members are posting there bad experiences ? There are always bad experiences with all rental companies. My previous with Avis have been very good, yes there was a time they did not have the car I booked and was upgraded no questions. You tend to find if some one has a smooth easy rental they do not come back and post how good it was but when some one has a bad experience they feel the need to vent there anger so they post on forums and review sites. Just stick with your rental and make sure you do all the checks before you drive away, and then keep a check on your card account.
