No as the divert is using your normal contract sim minutes and you’re diverting it to a UK number - I always do the same. Most UK providers allow you to call forward but not all - only thing you can’t do is setup a forwarding for any text messages. My phone is dual sim so that’s not an issue but it may be for some

Stuck in the Tower of Terror

Just got back from Bali and did this for the first time ever. A couple of years ago on the west coast it cost me about £60 with add ons from EE. I went into 3, bought a PAYG sim for £15 which had something like 10gb data and unlimited texts and calls and so long as the country you’re going to is a 3 ‘go roam’ country, you get the same allowance as if you’re using it in the U.K. I’ll definitely be doing this in Florida next year!
