Unfortunately you need to pay. They give you a schedule so you know how much needs paying each month but also for you to check the amounts are correct.

A direct debit on your account means they can just take the £120 anyway as you have given them authority to debit money from your account until either party cancels it. If it had been a standing order, it would have been for a fixed amount and a fixed number of payments.
If you have cancelled the direct debit already, yes definitely they will be sending you a bill an expecting you to pay.

You must have something that says what your total holiday cost is? I have paid for items by monthly direct debit many times, but I have always known what the over all cost is going to be.
Obviously both you and the agent have made a maths mistake in setting up the direct debits, I don't think it is reasonable to expect a £120 discount because both you and they made a maths mistake. |

£120 is not worth arguing over right now when the holiday has cost you thousands. As a consumer it’s also down to you to make sure you are paying the correct amount each month, and if not then you are liable to pay it. Have you worked out how much the holiday is and then divided it up to see what the shortfall is. Pay it and deal with the blame part after!

I pay my bills by monthly direct debit and whenever I receive a schedule I always check it to make sure it tallies up with the actual payment. On the very rare occasion it doesn't I query it straight away and it gets sorted.
