September or October?

Hi all!

We're going back next year but we're undecided what month to visit. What month would you choose and why?

Is September much quieter than October? I know it used to be.

Thanks for the help!

Out of the 2... October, less humidity and less rain.

I was there end of Aug to September it was really quiet... especially after Irma!
In all seriousness the hurricane has put my husband off going in peak season again but thankfully hasnt put him off wanting to go altogether

October has better weather, but is getting ferociously busy, Food and Wine was a big driver. However October is still very much hurricane season, albeit your twice as likely to see one in September as October.
So it is a case of balancing up lighter crowds (can be about slowest time of year)against potentially less humid (although October can still be sweltering) weather.
Given bringing forward of food and wine, crowds may start to even out a bit.
