She now has several different cubes and a mirror cube, which amazes me to watch her do it. Other kids take their cubes into school for her to complete
Your daughter is also a rubix guru, that's amazing.

Is anyone getting the feeling that the younger generation are all super intelligent?

Your son gets a guru award also.

.
Not really, plenty of us knew how to do them in the 80s, once you know the technique, it is really very simple and a matter of repeating no more than four steps. We progressed onto different shape ones in the 80s too, I am almost sure it was the same three or four steps to complete.

Yes DS says its just steps and once you know the steps they are quite easy ... I still couldn't do it

My DD’s BF collects Rubix Cubes as there are many different variations , he is another who can complete in a few minutes. He did show me the technique but I think there’s no hope for me 😂😂 I am still trying to grasp it.

I could do it so the square in the middle was one colour and all-around the edges were a different colour. To actually complete it properly I took mine apart and put it back together... but it was one off the market not a branded one

That was as far as I could get too

Then I learned how to pop a corner out and take it apart and put it back together the right way.
