Charity Bag Deliveries - How Many!
Firstly let me say we take all our stuff that is decent to the Cancer Research Shop a few Miles away from us.
They take clothing, toys, china and we have also taken unwanted high chairs etc etc. Nice to see them making money from stuff. However I am fed up with these darn charity bags being pushed through my letter box. We average 2 a week arriving, some charities hit our area every fortnight and there is no coordination between them to limit or target such collections. Finally I see that the collection is managed by 'Recycling & Management Services' who promise to donate £105 to the said charity for every tonne collected. Spooky that as Cancer Research make over £2000 for every tonne donated. Does everybody else get all these bags? I just recycle mine at Asda or wrap builders rubble up in them and sling them in the rubbish bin! Edit. If you leave them out empty to try and save them money they ignore them on collection day.

I used to get loads of these, not so many recently - I just turn them inside out and use them to bag up my stuff for my local caner research shop lol! I also take some to florida to donate alot of our clothes we take out there (makes room to bring more back).

We get quite a few every week, I think they're a big con.
I also prefer to donate to a local charity shop, rather than use the bags. I’ve got quite a collection of the bags, I use them for rubbish.

Yes we get at least 4 a week -I never know what to do with them- as we give our stuff to the local hospice.

Many are scams. Just ignore them. Give to charities you know and trust.

So already that's 5 of us who don't use them! What a waste plus more plastic pollution.

We put some outside our door, mostly had clothes the kids had grown out of, dh went out a hour later and they were gone. I put them out in the evening for the next morning and someone nicked them! Haven’t bothered since.

I hear ya. We have probably about the same amount, if not more every week.
I turn mine inside out and fill with our clothes etc and take ours to our local fire station ( no not to burn) but so they get something from it and I use to give our unwanted belongings to the air ambulance. Living in a rural area, that service has done amazing things, gets to places some services can’t get too. So that’s where our stuff goes too.

we get loads and I put them in the recycling however I have found that the proper charities have stopped delivering bags as often as they used to so I end up taking clothes to the big recycling bins.
