Heatwave

I’m helping a friend plan her first trip with a 3 yr old to DLP but have only been to Florida myself so I wanted to ask about free water. In Florida you can get free iced water at all the food places and I wanted to know if it the same in Paris? They’re going on Tuesday and the weather forecast is that it’s going to be hot, hot hot!

i don't remember there being cups of iced water in the QS restaurants at DLP when I was there in the heat of the summer, however there are water fountains (and the water is fine to drink, doesn't taste weird or anything) and in the extreme heat expected next week, they will have the water misters working too - my niece spent quite a bit of time in them .

Paris is an oven in summer. Very little air con anywhere. I would not go when it is this hot.

As above there are plenty of water fountains across the parks for refilling bottles.

Shows such as PhilharMagic, Lion King and Mickey and the Magician are great for getting out of the heat and having a sit down with air con!

Lion King was reporting 2-hour queues outside though!

I’ve actually been worried about this in reverse. There was a 37 degree heatwave when we first went to DLP, and it was so easy to refill our water bottles at the water fountains every time we ran out. I can’t figure out how it would work with having to queue up at food places to wait for iced water when you’re roasting hot and thirsty!

We are here now and it’s hotter than we have ever found Florida
The misters seem to be on a timer and the que for them is massive and twice yesterday as it was our turn they stopped so bring your own 🤔
The ques for the water fountains are massive so my advice take in lots of bottles of water and fill up when the que seems smaller some of the fountains are turned of ☹️ Ie the ones before you get into the park
A man in front of me yesterday paid 26 euros for two bottles of water a Santa and two tubs of popcorn at 350 each
Que for the lion king is huge and offers no shade

One reason I hate the summer! August is always a furnace in Paris but these temps are all time records.

I will stick to going in the winter - for me that is ‘better weather’!
