I always lose weight as the heat ad rushing to FPs mean Idont eat much during the day and then the walking around and swimming is lot of exercise too. I'm planning on running early mornings this year during my week on site as there are runnig trails and the 2 weeks offsitethe hotel has a small but functional gym where I am planning to run an do weights early morning/late evening

Food wise there are plenty of lower cal choices - we tend to go for tings like the salmon with rice and black beans or similar

Absolutely creased at the suggestion of Sprite as a healthy option.

If like most people you are doing a lot of walking your calorie burn should be pretty high.
Do you have any idea how many steps you will be doing a day? So long as it is at least 10000 steps you should still be able to eat well if you are sensible.

One good thing about USA is most of the restaurants state calories on their menus and you can even go a step further and track everything you eat through MyFitnessPal app.

If you give me a rough idea of what you think your average steps per day would be and what you weight is in pounds I can give you a guide on what you calorie intake should be to maintain your current weight.
My body does not work that way at all!

I too have gained weight from a combination of health conditions and being inactive.
I try to eat fairly healthily at home , however on holiday I eat what I like.
On our last trip; I ate around 11 pizzas of various shapes and sizes and lost 2lbs
Sadly it was quickly put back on and more once home.

I rarely eat breakfast as I'm not often hungry then. I have lunch between 11.30 and 12.30 then eat my main meal in the evening. I lost 2.5 stones (despite being hypothyroid) and have kept it off (apart from a 'snack' gain on holidays) for several years. Everyone's body and dietary needs are different - you just find a way of eating that works and fits you.

I have a huge breakfast most days on holiday but seldom have lunch as I'm not hungry. In the evening I have typical USA food like steak or chicken. However, I don't drink fizzy drinks or alcohol so stick to water or black coffee. I usually lose weight in Florida but it finds me again back home.
