Minions now 2D
Just seen reports that the Minions "ride" in Orlando has now followed Hollywood and changed to 2D. No more of these needed
Bit of a nothing ride for me but the wife may want to try again as it made her feel ill before.

Interesting-not that we ever got to try it before as we have had a huge Universal sabbatical! First time this year since 2010 😱😂

Surely this will take away some of the effectiveness of the ride?

Probably will but since Hollywood did it, it was only a matter of time. I think they think that it will placate the people saying it's all 3D screens however the problem is it's still a screen!

I thought one of the main points of it was the 3D effects.

Don’t see the point really but since I get motion sick and can’t see in 3D anyway, it may be better for me. I sat in the ‘stationary seats’ aka the bench anyway.

This isnt much of a surprise. They removed 3D from Forbidden Journey a few years ago an upgraded the projectors to 4k.
It removes the huge overheads of purchasing and maintaining the 3D glasses. Also, people who wear glasses dislike wearing the 3D glasses.
