You can buy a sat nav on eBay for £30. You won’t get lost then. 👍

This website tells you which hotels do day rooms. They look to be between £40-£100 depending on the hotel. I've not used it before but there are quite a few listed, Yotel, Bloc, Sofitel, Hilton, Ibis.

I've considered train and then flying from Gatwick - I travel most weeks to London for work and much more choice and not much difference timewise than getting transpennine. The only thing is I need to learn to pack lighter as heaving a bag on/off the train is a right royal pita.

I booked last week with BA from Gatwick, for 5 people including 7 seater car £2014, I normally fly from Manchester but that's way too good to miss

I’m from Leeds and have flown from Gatwick a few times now even with 3 children as I saved almost half price on my flights this year opposed to Manchester! We’re getting the train for the first time this year which feels more relaxed than the mammoth drive and the M25! X

There are Dibb community maps for round the parks but usually you have to pay for extra maps for your device. If you hire a Mustang (other makes also but not sure which sorry) you can just plug your phone in and use google maps on the screen in the car.
