Upgrading to full board

Hey I’ve booked and received the free half board meal plan, can I upgrade to full board now it’s booked? Not 100% decided but just in case 😆

You can do it at the hotel when you arrive so I dont see why not

For us it was too much food. You get a full buffet breakfast at your hotel, a 3 course lunch and a 3 course dinner. When you consider that a TS meal can easily take almost two hours, that is too much park time too.

Personally I would rather put the money aside and buy what you want when.

I agree with Gill H, Full board is a lot of food and takes up a lot of time. We had half board in February and even that was a lot of food and we often found ourselves only have a light snack for the other meal.

The reason we are thinking about it because we have 2 DDs 10 and 15 who eat like horses! We will be going to Remys and ADC at about 1/2pm with the parks closing at 7 and I think they’ll be hungry again by 8pm. Plus there’s lots of restaurants we’d like to try and can’t decide 😆

Which level dining plan do you have?

I'd suggest looking at the menus of restaurants you'd like to try, and see if the options available to you (on a meal plan) would be what you'd pay for.

If it is, then it's worth upgrading to be honest, as if you'd pay to eat those options, surely it'd be better for you to get the better price, plus the drink that comes with it, and it's pre-paid, so no worries about adding food money into your spends budget. Xx

It’s the premium meal plan so have got options of all the restaurants. I’ve done a dummy price up and we’d save around €200 upgrading to the full board if we ate at all the restaurants we fancy and paid out of pocket. That’s only if we ate at them all though, if we ate at a couple of them then we’d probably lose out

Well if you have a while til you go, I guess that you don't have to decide yet. But if full board suits you, and would save you money, it's a no brainer. x

If memory serves me rightly i got free hb premium when i was at dlp in november and you couldnt upgrade the free dining plan you could only do so if it was a bought plan

You can pay to upgrade to full board, they even offer it when you're making the booking. X
