Suburban
Hi,
I have just checked and the BA/Avis upgrade from a Minivan to a suburban is ridiculously cheap.. I have always driven a minivan in the states and found the size of the vehicle comfortable in terms of parking spaces etc. I really fancy driving the Suburban this year but am worried about how big it is.. could any of you helpful dibbers please reassure me that it’s easy to drive and manoeuvre and worth the upgrade.. Many Thanks |

Very big, but very easy to drive. It can easily handle the U turn when you head to the parking on the right in Universal and have to double back and up the ramp. So much so that it is now a family tradition for me to say "For a big vehicle, this has a remarkably small turning circle". Never had an issue with parking spaces, but I tend to avoid the scrum at Vineland outlets by going early or late.
It's a nice car; you won't regret it. |

We own a Suburban in Fl and as the main driver I really enjoy driving it, it's 18 foot long and a very comfy motor, very easy to park, altho I do ensure the back end isn't sticking out plus I'm selective on parking bays... mind you as we call it Tank you may think this a contradiction in terms

We had one a couple years back. It was ok, but a very soft drive. It steered like a canal boat, and in the wet on the freeway it was always on the edge of aquaplaning.
Very comfy inside, big leather aircon seats, satellite radio, lots and lots and lots of room. My opinion of the drive was probably swayed because I had a RAV 4 AWD that I’d chuck round the country roads around Aberdeen. I was expecting a lot more grip from the ‘burb but then realised that it was rear two wheel drive, not the 4x4 I thought it was to be. Maybe a 4x4 version would be better.
