That's a good answer.
I suppose you have read the usual forums, there are some really useful tips in TA reviews, you need to look at those from last November.
The best ticket offers are available directly from Yas circuit itself, they go on sale straight after this year's race. They can increase in price the later you buy them.

The F1 calendar is usually confirmed around Monza.

My hubster went to the Abu Dhabi grand prix about 2 years ago . I went on the trip with him but not to the race. The hotels were crazy money on yas island for race weekend so we stayed near to the promenade and he took a taxi which he shared with a few others from the hotel. We then flew on to Bali via Singapore and made a holiday out of it . He really enjoyed it as it was the last race of the season and it was whoever won the race won the championship.
Yas mall is good for shopping , the museum of Abu Dhabi life was good, so was the mosque.

Austin.

Book hotels early, like everywhere else they put their prices up once hotel management realise F1 dates. Austin hotels can sell out fast. San Antonio is an option but it's well over 90 minutes in the car.

Book tickets immediately they go on sale.

Turn 1 tickets can be sold out without going on sale because COTA has a kind of time share arrangement for fans to buy a permanent seat which is theirs every year. (That's not a perfect explanation.)
Pick a covered grandstand for shade, the sun can be brutal. More unexpected, it rains heavily too, with thunderstorms.
Really informal, similar to going to NASCAR, ordinary families, with buckets of cashew nuts, or almonds, munching on huge turkey legs, wheeling around dozens of iced beers.
Not cheap, but cheap by F1 standards.
Expect lots of Mexican fans.

The Mexican race may be dropped from the calendar for 2020 but if it's still on, maybe you could do a back to back. Mexico sells out really fast.

Alternatively, NASCAR at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday 25th October 2020 (Provisionally) could maybe make a brilliant double header with the F1 (if 30th -1st November 2020 is confirmed).

COTA has equally top concerts.

Abu Dhabi, you could stay in Dubai which is much cheaper, but easily an hour away. A popular choice is to stay in Corniche, and take a 30 minute taxi to the Mall.

Maybe weigh up USD vs AED.
