30th birthday ideas for Jan/Feb for a car lover
It's my soon to be husbands birthday in January, and as he is 30 I'm trying to think now what to buy or plan for him. We get married in October so I'm really busy with planning our wedding and honeymoon, and when we get back it won't be far until Christmas, and then his birthday.
Has anyone got any suggestions for a long weekend sometime in January/February? He absolutely loves formula one so I was trying to figure out if there is something I could do that relates to that interest. As it's something I know absolutely nothing about, I don't even know where to start, and I think we're going to be too early for any of the races. Due to the fact that all our leave is being used for the wedding etc, we probably only have two days leave to take, so it would have to be somewhere we could go from the UK from a wednesday night/thursday morning to sunday evening, or the other way round and come back on a Tuesday night. Any suggestions are helpful! Failing being able to do something like this, I will instead book a city break anywhere in Europe that we've been wanting to go |

We booked a test drive experience for our sons 30th, he wanted to drive an Aston Martin round a race track. So we booked a little bed and breakfast place for him and his fiancé to stay at so they could make a weekend of it.
They absolutely loved it. It was through the red letter days website. They have some really good driving experience things on there, you might see something that would work for your gift. Mary

Autosport International - Motorsport Mania.
Saturday 11th/Sunday 12th January 2020. Birmingham. F1 teams, drivers, cars, and various other motor racing related attractions. autosportinternational/show/ If Barcelona circuit has F1 testing that's another option but that's likely March. If you want to drive around a track, most circuits have websites to book directly. Usually much cheaper than using a third-party and less chance of them going out of business. Be aware weather may be an issue at that time of year, if you have fixed dates. |

Thank you Not set on dates. I would rather do something he would enjoy on a different date, than try to stick to one weekend.
They're great suggestions, thanks! I've started checking out the tracks to visit. Just need to figure out if he has been to any of these before |
