Which airport to fly into no car hire
We are looking at airports to which would be best without a car for a stay at Anaheim. I see that a few are non stop to lax but was wondering whether SNA would be more better. I’m an absolute newbie at the California side of things. Any suggestions would be great thanks.

John Wayne is closer to Anaheim, so better in that way, LAX is the international airport.
You can get transfers to Anaheim from either with the likes of Supershuttle. What is your schedule before and after Anaheim? |

Santa Ana/John Wayne is the closest to Disneyland/Anaheim (about 25 minutes) but as you have noticed the direct flights go into LAX (about an hour away). LAX is generally offers better fares but either would work.
For Transfers you can either get the Disneyland Express which runs from either airport but only once an hour or you could use companies like superhuttle/go lansky/Uber. |

Thank you for your replies.
Are these easy to find the transfers eg. Supper shuttle,Disneyland express. Also can I book previous to arriving or just get outside airport. I'm pretty much want to do Disney for 3 days but will see how we can get about without a car. Only will have a week end of May/June. Wanted to do universal 1 day ,walk and tar pits if time will let us. |

Supershuttle for example you book in advance and get all the meeting arrangement. You can either get a shared service, or a dedicated service depending on what you choose.
The likes of Uber you have to hail in their app when you get your bags. The Disneyland Express goes to a set schedule and fixed location at the airports. For Universal / Hollywood, you are the other side of LA, which although only 30 miles is 1-1-5 hours away depending on traffic. Best to move location. West coast is a long way for a week, but if that is all you have. Disney can be done in 2 days, 3 will be plenty. Universal is possible to do in a day. Add another for Hollywood (maybe throw in Warner Bros Studio Tour as well) and you have near enough filled your week. |

If your wanting to do universal etc a split stay is more sensible will save you wasting a lot of time sat in traffic .
