Ibiza?
We are looking to go to Ibiza for a week in September, we have never been so have no idea what areas are the best.
Can anyone advise on the best areas to stay and why? We don't want too lively or too quiet?

We love Santa Eulalia. Its on the East coast. Great prom, marina, tons of bars and restaurants but not really a teenager/young kids place. Great for a wander after dinner, have a drink along the prom somewhere. Can get boat trips to Ibiza town and other beaches along the coast. Lovely beaches with sunbeds/shades. River walk. Hotels we recommend are Riomar, if you want a sea view. La Cala if you want better food and a higher grade hotel. The Tres Torres is a lovely hotel, by the marina, so a 5 min walk to the beach. There are posher hotels as well. Have a look at Thomas Cooks or Tui, both go to this resort if you want a package deal.

We like Santa Eulalia and the next resort to it, Es Cana. Both have lovely beaches, great hotels, family friendly and have nice shops and a promenade to stroll along. The resorts also have a little train driving around and a ferry that is nice to go on to other resorts for a day trip too, plus there are boat trips and bus trips available so lots to do and see

Es Cana is lovely and so is Cala Bona. We also like Cala Llonga. The bay is beautiful.

We stayed at cala llonga a few years back and it was lovely, the hotel had direct access to beach and there was a water taxi Dock which is a brilliant way to get around... Far better than a bus.

Santa Eulalia, Portinatx. Quite a few years ago I went to Agroturismo Can Gall, an amazing finca style hotel, great hosts Santi and Anna. But you would need a car

We have visited Ibiza many times in the past 5 years. Have stayed at Hard Rock in Playa den Bossa, Royal Beach apartments also in PDB ( twice), Pacha Hotel in Ibiza town, Sol Beach Hotel and our favourite Insotel Fenecia Prestige suites in Santa Eulalia.
Santa Eulalia is a fabulous town and would be my recommendation for any ones first visit to Ibiza. Happy to answer any questions
