Hi, does anyone have any tried and tested tips for jet leg?
I am off to Australia for two weeks at then back for four days before flying to Florida and a bit concerned about jet lag ruining my Disney time. TIA! |

Have you booked flights already for Australia? If not, worth considering daytime flights back from Oz. I am looking at flights for the same journey, and am looking at either Sydney-Narita, then Narita-Heathrow-Manchester or Sydney-Bangkok then Bangkok-LHR-Man.
In both cases, it would be two days travelling with an overnight stop at either Narita or Bangkok, but would save the overnight flight, and alsp gradually ease us back into the time zones.

I have been back and forth many times as used to live there. I found the best way to avoid jetlag was to book a flight that lands in the evening, we often got a Cathay Pacific flight that landed about 8pm Sydney time. I think you are more concerned about coming back and unfortunately I think most connecting flights from Sydney are going to land in the morning, the only ones I can see that land in the evening have a long layover.
If you are landing back in the morning, I would have a busy day planned and keep going until at least early evening if you can. Never heard of this strategy before. Not sure I understand it, sounds like it just prolongs the journey to me, we always try to get it over and done with, never stop over. |
