I booked through blue bay travel but you can also book through TUI.

I booked through Thomas cook. Checked with them and TUI and TC were roughly £2500 cheaper.

Yes they can - not all excursions but there was a fair few. I’m pretty sure there’s a list on their website.

We are here now, we booked with Thomas cook and got a great deal on a family suite. We are in building 9 in the hacienda side which is in a pretty good spot for both the lobby with the restaurants and the pools/beach. The heaven side is also open for families at this time until 17th August.
We’ve used resort credits for a Bali bed so far.
Seaweed is pretty bad at the mo- but that’s to the whole of the coast. The staff work endlessly to clear it and we’ve had some lovely mornings in the lagoon. Planning on using the water park tomorrow.
This morning we took a taxi down to playa del carmen and did a bit of shopping. It was 370 peso each way- there’s a list at the hotel showing you the price it will be and the official taxi ranks have a price list too.
We’ve not seen any of the shows so far as struggling a bit with the time difference but hope to catch the rock show tonight.
We are also planning a trip to xsenses next week. It’s a very different type of holiday for us, but we are enjoying a slower pace.
