Something to replace Kalms, but what?

I take Kalms on an almost daily basis, just once a day. The dosage is two in one go but I am taking four. They work, thank goodness, as I don’t know where I would be without them.

I would like to try some other over-the-counter stuff but have no idea what is out there. Any recommendations please, other than removing the source of the need!

Have you tried bachs rescue drops . They do day and night ones. Combine this with perhaps lush sleepy cream as well ? I find both work really well for me .

Only Ezetimibe for cholesterol.

I take Kalms to give me patience and calm me down when I am frustrated and cross.

Being treated for high cholesterol means you should be avoiding anything with Valerian root Kalms main ingredient.

So would be looking to a doctor really - if you suffer with lack of patience and excess emotion there are medications that have been proven to help.

You can try the over the counter helpers - lavender oil, rescue remedy pastilles/drops. Magnesium and Vit B6 both have roles in calming the nervous system, reducing the effects of stress and stabilising moods and people are often deficient.

If going down a supplement route would always check with a doctor or pharmacist first.

Have you thought about maybe doing something that isn’t medication? For example the calm app or headspace might help? Some self guided meditation!

IMO it is important that forum members do not recommend medications for others be they over the counter or doctor prescribed.

We know nothing about other people’s underlying medical state or what interactions may occur.
