A bit concerning that someone can get in with a gun. Although they were meant to have got in a side entrance, surely security should be better than that?

La Times are reporting that it was a suicide - very sad indeed.

I've never seen proper security at any of the theme parks. They have a little rummage in your bag but it wouldn't be hard to hide something if you wanted too.

I agree , we've often said it wouldn't be hard to smuggle a bomb , gun etc into the parks because the bag checks aren't great .

Quick look inside poke with a stick and that's it .

I always think that, they have a quick look in your open bag, never been properly searched or body searched, don't even have metal detectors do they? Scary really what could happen!

I asked them last year at magic Kingdom what they were looking for, and they said alcohol!

Same really at NASCAR races, 80000 people there and they look in the bag and sometimes poke around they are also looking for food and drink (some tracks don't let you take your own in)>

But its so easy to smuggle stuff in I do it every year, all you need is a dark (dark because my bag is black) t-shirt wrap stuff inside it put at the bottom of the bag place other stuff on top and there you are , I've been doing this for 10/11 years and never been caught yet.
If someone wanted to smuggle in a gun, knife, bomb whatever it would be so easy to do so..

But what's the alternative if you have airport type scanners for bags and people think how long the queues would be . We've all been stuck behind someone who's carrying everything bar the kitchen sink imagine those people having every item scanned.
