Air New Zealand

Anyone have experience of flying with Air New Zealand.

Flights are coming up at a reasonable price in the summer to LA.

We went to NZ via LAX a couple of years ago. It was and still is the best flight ever. The staff were great and attentive; food also very good, with snacks on demand ordered via the screen and lots of new films to watch. We paid extra for Couch seats and they were worth every penny (3 seats between two people with leg rests that come fully up to make a platform) to I was able to lie down completely with a real duvet and pillows, at the same time DH, who is over 6' was able to prop his pillows and duvet against the window and sit sideways with his feet up, using the normal blankets to cover him.

Their innovative seat designs are class leading.

We went this route on the way to Sydney via LA but actually flew United planes.

I'd love to be able to fly their "bed" seats in economy or the aweome premium seats.

Exactly this!

Best flight Ive ever been on!

The only reason Ive never used them again for LA is purely flight time - their flight leaves at 3.15pm UK time which means getting to LA really late. Most of the other carriers have a much earlier flight option which means you arrive in LA early afternoon which makes (for us) a better experience.

I think I paid just over £300 for a last min Air NZ flight to LA and it is yet to be beaten on price, quality and service!
