I have spent too many hours on route 3 getting on to the Cape, finally making it to the house and then waiting in line in the grocery store (I think it's now a Stop and Shop in Orleans) just to pick up essentials.

I love the Cape but not Saturdays in the summer.

I hope you were safe from the crazy weather this morning. My son is in Plymouth and they had a lightening display like none they had seen before.
I’m currently in Florida so missed the weather. Getting on and off the Cape on the weekends during the summer can definitely be challenging.

Loretta,
You are lucky to be in Florida. There was a tornado in Yarmouth this morning. I don't know if there has ever been one on the Cape before.

Enjoy your time and have a safe trip back.

Just had a email from a neighbor who said they had bad storms and tornado warnings so spent time in their cellar also mentioned my house looks okay. Parts of Chatham lost power and some roads closed, and a hotel in Yarmouth lost its roof. A small tornado touched down in Goodwill Park (Falmouth) during hurricane Bob.

Glad to hear your home is safe and undamaged, This morning they said something like 70K residents were without power and they were concerned people would cut their vacations short,

We spent a week in Dennis the week after Bob. The devastation was horrible but we had a beautiful week with great weather.
