Build a droid, getting it back home
From watching the Disney Land SWGE videos, I’m liking the look of the build a droid.
I’m not convinced however that it would fit in my case OK. Would it be ok in hand luggage? Or as it remote controllable and has batteries, I wonder if Security wouldn’t allow it. I also like the look of the lightsabers soo, but unless they come apart easy enough after being built, that isn’t fitting in a case either. |

My DH said the same thing?
Im hoping someone will be able to find out, I'm sure the droid and light Saba will be able to go as extra luggage and pay for it and if you have $200 for a light Saba paying another few quid shouldn't bother anyone 😆 But I really would like a droid ☺

When you go through security just tell them that these aren't the droids you're looking for.

I think I read that the lightsabers will come apart. I know the video we watched, they showed you the sheath they give you, which a/ looks VERY padded round the blade, and b/ seemed to fold at the top with a separate section for the handle.
I hope they do, we'll be looking to get 2 home! /Mo |

I wonder if they will come apart easy enough? Also planning on getting a droid so perhaps take the inner bit with the batteries and put that in hold amongst clothes and take the outer bit in hand luggage?

I assume you are after a BB droid?
This would work and the "ball" bits would separate and sit within each other, with the "head" nesting inside the two halves, minimising the space taken up. I am not sure how heavy they are? The inner bit with all the batteries looks pretty weighty? I don't think you could break down the R2 type droid, its all screwed together? |
