BA vote overwhelmingly in favour of strikes

BA pilots have voted in favour of strike action, and unless BA get a high court injunction tomorrow it looks like flights from the 2nd week of August are due to be heavily effected.
This added to the Gatwick and Heathrow strikes will really impact summer vacation plans for millions of people.

I understand that they want better pay and BA have not done badly as far as profits go, but why not wait till peak business travel to call a strike and not summer when it's families.
Business makes so much more money for airlines than domestic.

In the press release the union have said that BA have delayed talks along the way. Probably to try and get the strike at this time of year to minimise the impact on business travel.

I support their right to strike but wish it didn’t impact me. Alas
