Universal Orlando Confirm Earlier Opening Date for Halloween Horror Nights

inline imageA few days ago we reported HERE that Universal Orlando looked like they were going to start the Halloween Horror Nights 2019 earlier in the year, this has now been confirmed..

"Universal Orlando Resort has an early holiday gift for guests who are visiting in early September 2019 – they’ll now have the opportunity to experience the world’s premier Halloween event during their visit.

Due to popular demand and the incredible growth of the event, Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 2019 will begin earlier than ever before, running select nights from Friday, September 6, 2019 to Saturday, November 2, 2019.

Guests will face haunted houses, scare zones and live entertainment based on everything from horror legends and the top names in pop culture, to disturbing-original stories created exclusively by the twisted minds of Universal’s award-winning Entertainment team.

More information about Halloween Horror Nights 2019 – including specific event dates, event content, tickets and offers – will be revealed in the months ahead.

Stay tuned to halloweenhorrornights/orlando for updates."

Halloween 7 weeks before it actually happens. Money grabbers and means less time in Universal at weekends.

Not as bad as Disney where they start in August.

It’s just way too early all about money and no good if your not going to any of the parties.

At least they offer frequent passes which Disney don’t. I always see universal nights more of a movie theme than Halloween though , ie stranger things was a massive hit but not really based around Halloween or horror so I can see why they are extending it.
Disney’s is just based on Halloween and now in mid August , that’s more ridiculous imo.

I’m actually quite disappointed by this. I’ve tried less hours for a longer period of time for those uninterested in this event. It makes life really difficult especially as parking is free after 6 and we like to take advantage of that when staying offsite.

I would hope people would stop going to these, but where people are prepared to pay, they just keep expanding them. Same as the Xmas ones at Disney- if you saw Adam Hatton's video the other day, absolutely packed. Just a waste of money. We are talking large sums as well. Then people who have paid cannot get into the park with a standard ticket so get their day curtailed. I really, really hate these constant upcharges.

Universal mostly closes at 6pm in September anyway. With this they will keep IOA open longer probably till 8 or 9pm. Plan it right and you can actually have a longer day at the parks than a normal September day.

I really don't think you can compare this to Disneys ticketed events either. There is a lot more going on at these events.
