I have nothing to add except to say I am so sorry for your loss. I genuinely have no rational explanation for the card and I would have done exactly the same. I never cease to be amazed by some people and their insensitivity x

This is what I think too!

They wanted to send you a Xmas card but realise it won’t be a ‘great’ one so crossed it out!

They would have been better getting a blank card and writing a more personal message, very insensitive!

I would either bin or hide at the back of other cards.

You can buy special Christmas cards with a sentiment about being someone’s first Christmas without their loved one - I’ve sent a couple in the past but wouldn’t have even contemplated sending even one of those with it being so recent 💔
