Mnsshp costumes

Hi
We are going to attend this with our 4 month old DD on 17th September, having never been to this party before we have a few questions.
1. will walmart/target have costumes on sale at this date we arrive on the 6th september so will have time to shop?
2. where it says NO MASKS does that mean the likes of an iron man costume is out then or any of these superhero costumes?
3. what type of costumes are the best to wear both for effect but also because of the weather, esp for a man as I know i can wear a dress.
any help is appreciated
Thanks

Avoid nylon / lycra type costumes. The evenings can be warm.
The reason for no masks is a safety feature. Face paint is a good substitute.
Be innovative - one we saw was a Mum as Cruella and the two kids as dalmation pups. One guy had made a cardboard tabard and went as a Fastpass.

Where does it say NO Masks ? From what I've read masks are ok as long as it does not obstruct vision for entering / exiting rides etc.

Wearing Costumes

Guests, especially children, are invited to wear costumes. However, guests are asked to choose costumes that are not obstructive to the child's view or that may be offensive to other park guests.

The tickets states. “Halloween costumes should NOT:•Obstruct the guest’s view or interfere with their ability to board/unload from attractions and/or the the Walt Disney World Resort transportation system (including monorails, ferry boats, and motorcoaches).
•Drag on the ground.
•Contain sharp or pointed objects or material that may accidentally strike another guest.
•Be offensive to other guests.
•Contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.”
