Baby Poppy update p92

As some of you know, our granddaughter was born 13 weeks early on 21st November
Since then she’s been struggling with her lungs- their not developing as they should. She’s had a 10 day course of steroids which hasn’t made a difference and she’s had 3 blood transfusions
They’ve now found she has a heart valve still open - they usually close shortly after birth hers hasn’t, so she needs surgery but because of her lungs it’s high risk
She is still in cpap
There’s going to be a big meeting this Thursday to discuss what they can do if anything
We are all devasted
Please can you hold Poppy in your thoughts and prayers xx

Oh dear. My heart goes out to you and I really hope there is some good news coming soon.
We have been in this situation but always cling to the hope that the Medical Experts come up trumps and never underestimate the fighting spirit of a baby
