my son 13, & his girlfriend are wanting to go out, but I've said no to my son. We are in tier 2 bordering on tier 3 & I'd much rather be in a better position come Christmas, being able to spend it with our families. Yes it's fun for the kids & I hate taking that away from them, not to mention the huge amount of sweets he usually comes back with.

We normally decorate & do pumpkins, but that is not happening this year, considering putting a coivd warning on the door so stop them from knocking

I've not read the whole thread so sorry if this has already been discussed etc.. but a neighbour of ours (they're in their 60s) pushed a bag full of sweets through our door yesterday for our three kids.. with a note which read.. "we're not answering the door this year on halloween, and we don't want the kids to miss out so we thought we'd do a little reverse halloween! enjoy!"

It was a really lovely gesture
