Tesco have totally denied any responsibility to us. They say deal with hotels.com and if we are not happy tough.

I think Tesco are handling this really badly, as it seems different people are getting different results.

I also still dont understand why we would have to wait until 30 days after the planned stay for any voucher! They cancelled it!

Not exactly. I'm waiting till max 16th September for my voucher. I did the chat and she said I'd get it up to 30 days after the day I was due to stay.

Still nothing from me. I’ve followed up 4 times now, and keep getting fobbed off with apologies, we’ll look into it. Our original booking was for 11-13 August, so I’ll chase again then. It’s frustrating as I want to book a hotel for April, but want to use the voucher towards it.

We’re still waiting too - I asked about the points refund a couple of months ago, but Tesco said I needed to contact hotels.com. They just kept saying that they had refunded my credit card and not saying anything about the clubcard voucher (even though that was the only thing I was asking about.)

Eventually, they said they’d be sending a new voucher 30 days after the days we’d booked to stay. That’s not until mid September for us - has anyone else received the promised voucher for earlier stays?

I cancelled a hotels.com booking this past week, I was given a ‘coupon code’ by the guy at hotels.com and was told to pass it to Tesco.

Tesco emailed me back and it seems like a generic email saying I’d be contacted by hotels.com during the month after our check out date (so in my case in September as I would of checked out on August 15th).

The email stated I’d either get a hotels.com voucher for 115% of my stay, a part cash refund (which I’ve already had) plus a Credit voucher for the remaining balance. It then went on to say that if it was a non-refundable booking (mine was), I would either get one of the first two options or I’d receive a credit voucher, but that voucher would be for the specific hotel I’d booked. All vouchers are apparently valid until December 2021.

As I said, this appeared to be a very generic email, so it made me wonder if they’ve now ironed out the confusion (I know several people on here have been told different stories) - as certainly Tesco seem to now have a set response. The only bit I still don’t get though, is if it’s down to hotels.com to sort it all out, why did hotels.com give me a coupon code to pass on to Tesco in the first place?

I’m hopeful I have finally got my points refunded. It has taken numerous phone calls and I’ve spoken to some really helpful people but also some who were rather unhelpful. I was told on Friday that the official line from Tesco is that a voucher is being issued by hotels.com 30 days after your check-out date but as a gesture of goodwill they are going to refund my points. At the time of my first call to them they were still refunding points but apparently this changed not long after so due to delays at their end they were only going to give me a voucher however I have pushed to get points back.

Unfortunately this weekend was a cut-off for a points statement so until I receive that I can’t see for definite that they have been added on. I was told on Friday that I should still receive a voucher from hotels.com 30 days after my check-out date but they will contact hotels.com to cancel it. My check-out date was 9 July so if I do receive a voucher in the next couple of weeks I’ll report back on here. Hope everyone else gets sorted out soon.

I’m having trouble too- ring Tesco a few weeks ago to be told that I would get a hotels.com voucher. Was told the same by hotels.com and it would be credited to my account. A few weeks on still nothing- did an online chat which was a complete waste of time. Currently in Cornwall so will ring when I get home

I'm a few days away from the maximum 30 from the day I should have been in the hotel I got through clubcard vouchers.

Has anyone received their vouchers yet? Do you get an email? I get so much junk from hotels.com that I'm worried i might miss it!

I'm well over 30 days from when my last stay should have been.

I contacted hotels.com again and after the usual rigmarole of providing all the reference numbers I was told that they apologise but there is a big backlog.

There's no way I'm letting this go as it was £195 of vouchers.
