The 50% borrowing rule

Looking at your "hopeful countdown" I'm not sure it's late enough, I expect current restriction to last for all '21 stays but no-one knows for sure- you could argue that once those 5-6 month's worth of points are out of the system then things should revert.
We modified as opposed to cancelling, this in theory "bypassed" the 50% rule, although what I was told & what is on site do differ in that regard, but it did mean that there was no further borrowing & we had to increase our offsite stay. We did have 7 nights Free Dining plus 14, now Universal for 10 & then 11

As I’m only in the closing process of buying our points and still haven’t got our points loaded into the Disney System yet, can someone tell me if Aulani is also included in the 50% borrowing scheme? I obviously can’t get into the system to check out the rules and play around with potential bookings.

We don’t have Aulani points, so can’t book until the seven month window anyway, but just getting my thinking hat on!

There's not been any official word yet, purely a personal guess, but I think they are waiting see how many points are used between now and the end of this calendar year before making a decision.

Fingers crossed. Effects the UK owners who bank and borrow from year to year more I think. tho here’s hoping that it’s done away with from January 🤞🏻
