I love The Eagles and it was a tough choice (from the list) between Wasted Time and Desperado but the latter won out in the end. The Last Resort wasn’t on the list but is my favourite. A controversial statement I’m sure but I can’t stand Hotel California. That has to go down as one of my least favourite songs of all time, by any artist.

For me it has to be take it to the limit.
Years ago when I was a student nurse living in the nurses quarters we had a 23rd birthday party for one of the nurses boyfriends. It was a lovely evening but very sad because he was terminally ill, he died soon after. I remember hearing this song and everyone singing to it. It was a lovely end to an emotional evening and it still makes me think about him all these years later. |
