I just don’t know why these buffoons feel they have to revisit history and apply today’s rules and attitudes!

But are the rules different today? from what I have seen teenagers are doing exactly the same today as we did all those summers ago. My youngest daughter (single) still goes out looking like a budgie, it takes her hours to get that look.

As they’d already ‘hooked up’ at the beginning of the film I’d say the film is more about peer pressure from your social circle than sexist. Kinda like ‘stick to your own kind’ (ala High School Musical).
