They could have been on the beach and watched as others went up and came back down again safely. Holiday heads on and didn’t give a thought that there was any danger. Just feel so sorry for the poor parents and hope the injured boy makes a full recovery.

This is the water sports centre at the Lindos Princess. Ironically we stayed there and I had a Google memory photo of the kids going on the banana boat there come up exactly 4 years ago on the day this happened.

Seems this morning it is being reported that the boat captain knew there was a strong storm brewing and there was a risk that the rope could be severed which is what seems to have happened.

It appears the legal age for parasailing in Greece is 16 , and that it’s illegal to tow 3 at once

And the parents were kept waiting for 4 hours without being told the 2 had died

We let ours do it in Turkey this year, they're 10 & 14. DH was sat in the boat that was pulling them but didn't go up with them. They'd done it the day before too but with me so as a 3.

From what I’ve read the parents were told any ages from 3 up could participate. When in fact the legal age is 16.
They were told 3 of them could ride together safely, legally it’s two.

They were also told the younger two were fine and were just in the fracture clinic when in fact they were both sadly dead.

A lot of unanswered questions I think. From what I’ve seen the parents were on the beach and waving to them. The mother fainted seeing the injuries of the eldest not realising she had lost the other two.

Awful incident and so so sad.
