So whilst the vaccine position is hopeful, the cruise element of our August booking is looking the biggest risk presently, with the Disney announcement that they expect to resume sailing "in the fall"... ≈≈≈≈≈≈.
Our cruise ain't cancelled at the moment, so just that awful waiting game (again). Could be the Yanks' definition of fall is earlier than ours, could be Disney are managing expectations, could be we'll need to extend our Disney stay and shift the car pickup to DCCC before the road trip portion of the trip.
Ho-hum...

I think Biden is meant to be making a speech tomorrow isn’t he? Wonder if he’ll mention borders?

Me & my partner are also booked for 4th Sept through Virgin , my only concern is these potential vaccine passports!

I am 29 so not in any priority for even the 1st jab.

The only game changer for us is the quarantine rules. They make it impractical to go and have a holiday and then get back to work. They don't however cancel a trip, and therefore trigger refunds and insurance payouts.

As others, I can't see them still being in place once vaccination rollout has hit the vast majority of the adult population, but we're still playing cautious until we know for sure.

So long as Infection rates carry on going down and vaccination rates carry on going up, we're heading in the right direction, and fast enough to seriously start thinking about summer. It's going to be OK August people.

Just used the calculator based on a healthy 30yr old it gave the following information

Based on your profile, you are in priority Group 11. Given an uptake of 75%, there are between 9,572,351 and 14,593,892 people in front of you in the queue for a first dose of COVID vaccine across the UK.

📅 Given a vaccination rate of 2,465,155 a week and an uptake of 75%, you should expect to receive your first dose of vaccine between 04/05/2021 and 02/06/2021.
