New build flooring quote (LOL)

Bloor have quoted us £8,000 to fit and supply 42 sq metres of Amtico flooring in our new build

Just thought I'd give you something to laugh at before bed 😄

Yikes! I’ve got one for you - we were just quoted £9k to put scaffolding up for our loft conversion! £9k! I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry - once I picked myself up off the floor.

Whattttttt surely theyve added an extra 0 on there by accident? Unless you live at the top of the shard I'd be telling them where they can shove their scaffolding

Crazy, isn’t it! My husband is a tradesman so knows the cost. Second quote came in today of £4K which is about right (we expect £4.5-5k will end up being the final cost). Still eye watering but half the £9k quoted.

We have Amtico signature and love it, but not £8k love it! We paid £3.5k for two small rooms (living room and dining room, new build) removal of carpet, self -leveling, removal of interior step.
