What size vehicle to book ?
Last year I booked a 4 door saloon through Alamo Orlando but when we arrived to pick the car up, they said pick any car you want on the left. So as there was quite a few multi seaters we took one of those.
We will be returning to Florida next year in Oct, 2 weeks before half term. There will be 6 of us this time so we will definitely have to have a multi seater. So shall I book a multi seater ? Or try my luck and book a standard car and hope for a free upgrade on the day ? There is quite a difference in price if I book now so I could save a bit if I got lucky again, but what happens if there is no free upgrade ? Will I still have the option to pay extra for a 7 seater ? Will the extra I pay work out a lot more than just booking one from the UK to begin with ? What's the most likely outcome in your experiences ? I may try for Sanford or Tampa this time, will that lower my chances ? |

I guess it depends on your luck ! However with 6 people and luggage a standard saloon is unlikely to be suitable.
If you decide to upgrade when you arrive you may find it more expensive or possible that they do not have any suitable upgrades available. Sandford and Tampa will definitely lower your chances. If it was me I would watch the deals and book something that is suitable in advance ! |

I wouldn’t ever rely on getting an upgrade especially where you need additional seats. Book what you. Need

Yeah if there's a risk of no suitable vehicle then that's a problem.

Excited about Disney

Ok what you need, we are going in June with 6 adults and I’ve booked a Suburban or similar. A 7 seat minivan would be fine, just be prepared to play Tetris with the luggage.
