Love the yacht club - great location esp if you like to walk to parks and I really enjoy the boardwalk. But if the aesthetic of AKL suits you more - go for it

Not stayed at Yacht Club, but have stayed a few times at AKL. We love the aesthetic - the animals, the peacefulness, the decor and the food.

I'd only not recoomend AKL if you are planning to be out of the room from dawn until dusk as you will get less out of the resort that way (although they do night vision viewing of the animals, too)

We've stayed at both and theyre both amazing resorts in different ways.
AKL - best theming onsite, some of the best restaurants, a great atmosphere and of course giraffes to watch while you're having your morning coffee!
Y&BC - location, location, location ... walk or boat to 2 parks and the Boardwalk, lots of fab restaurant / bar choices within walking distance, best pool complex onsite, a laid back and beautiful resort.

It’s personal preference for us but AKL feels so dark. We much prefer YC because it feels more light airy and fresh. I love animals but for me the thought of sitting on my balcony and seeing them roam around just doesn’t appeal to me for some reason!

Stayed at both and whilst the theming and surroundings at AKL are amazing, the location of BC can’t be beaten in my opinion. Being able to walk to HS and Epcot was brilliant and we loved the food and drink options that offered us, particularly in the evenings.
