We have sparrow hawks and buzzards here, we feed the small birds on our garden feeders on the patio and sometimes a flash of a large, brown bird (either the sparrow hawk or the buzzard) swoops down and flies off with a tiny blue tit or similar. It’s quite cruel but also majestic to see them.

I love the bird feeder 💞

Am now worried the bird feeding will attract rats... might have to take it down! The blue tits dont want it anyway, we noticed yesterday they only like the raspberry suet block.

That’s a shame, but I can see the problem and you definitely don’t want rats 😱

I try to fill our bird feeders early in the day so they’ve eaten it all before it gets dark so it doesn’t attract rats.

DD is making rocky road this afternoon, I’m so pleased she’s home from uni as I’m rubbish at baking 😂 (although I’m not really as she should be in uni enjoying herself)

We’ve also discovered a pub around 8 miles away on Just Eat who say they deliver up our area (many don’t as we’re quite rural) so I’m hoping to get a pub meal delivered tomorrow evening as a change.

The weather may be awful but there’s always food to cheer me up 😀 Although I’m sure I will be complaining that my clothes don’t fit when I finally get out of elastic waistbands again 🤣

Has anyone else got any tasty foodie treats planned this weekend?

I know, I feel bad for saying that but I really do find my little food treats brighten me up at the moment and dieting is just impossible

I really am unsure what to order. I think DH is considering their ultimate burger or a steak, Georgia is thinking of ordering ribs or chicken burger but I’m always indecisive so it will be a last minute decision for me. I will post photos if they can deliver here.

I bake a couple of times a week - I have a skinny hubby who loves cake and never puts an ounce on! I manage not to eat much but daren't make cheese or fruit scones as he doesn't eat them and the lurpac would be an inch thick on mine!
