So I called Disney to cancel our 2021 reservation. The advisor asked why am I cancelling and not just move it to 2022. I explained we booked the 4 nights free offer but she insisted on checking our dates for 2022 to see what she could do. The cast member was really nice and helpful and to our surprise could move our reservation to 2022 for the exact same price that we were paying for 2021.
We double checked all the dates (checking in the Monday 08/08/22 instead of Monday 09/08/21) and hotel details thoroughly and everything was confirmed and came off the phone extremely happy.
Then came the email confirmation with the checkin dates of 08/08/21, which is a Sunday and this year.

Was this cast member new, not wearing her glasses or just bad at dates. No wander we could get 4 free nights. Maybe she still thought it was 2020.

So another long wait on the phone. Moral of the storey is dont get exited about special pricing until you get it in writing.
