Those of you that take laundry detergent with you?

Does it work out cheaper that way?

We're staying at cabana bay then Homewood suites not a villa so it costs more to buy at the hotel for sure.
Just wondering if I might as well take some from home?
Which to get if i do?

always take my own , I keep all the little bottles of molton brown , shampoo etc and fill these with the exact dose of liquid ariel for a wash , pour it straight into the drum , works fine , doesn't add much to luggage weight but saves buying a bix box or an over priced small box of washing powder

I take some liquitabs with me. I did two washes when I stayed at POFQ in September and they worked fine in their washing machines.

Good idea, I'll do that.
Usually end up buying the little packets from the machines in the Disney Laundries.

Do you have to use a certain type in the top loaders? Don't want to take liquid so how much pods/powder would be used for each wash?

I used the disney machines

I took the asda tablets (says 20 washes on them and they are in a blue box) and put three in at a time straight in the drum and crumbled them. Clothes smelt nice and fresh and a few little boy stains came out no problem.

They are big machines and hold heaps of clothes.

I never take detergent with because I LOVE tide and make a beeline to Walmart to buy enough to bring home as well (aren’t I sad) 😂

I will be taking some ariel liquitabs with me and some tumble dryer sheets

Apparently you just throw ONE liquitab in the drum first, then add the clothes and its all fine and dandy Everyone raves about Tide but my Husband and Step Daughter both have sensitive skin, so don't want to run the risk...
