Brunch at Cali Grill or Hard Rock

Hi guys ☺
Would you rather go to Cali Grill oe the Kitchen at Hard Rock for sunday brunch?

Its a bit of a price difference 🙈

Of course outside of this current pandemic 💚

Thanks for advises

Have not been to the Hard Rock but have had brunch at the Cali Grill and thoroughly enjoyed it and would do it again. One advantage is you are able to take your receipt back the same evening and get a roof top view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks plus great night time views over the area.

Another vote for Cali Grill. We have been quite a few times (it is the highlight of my dining holiday) and we often get there early (before 11am) and stay there about 3 hours! We cant manage to do much afterwards though (too many mimosas!) other than may be a trip round the resorts on the monorail and it is quite expensive if not on the dining plan and you have to book far in advance but it really is a great dining experience.

I dont know when it will come back again though as it is a buffet. I really hope it does!

California Grill is the only on-site restaurant we visit every trip... brunch is perfect with the added bonus of returning later for fireworks. We found Hard Rock a right royal rip-off... better food at Outback!

If it doesn't go back to a buffet I hope it's like the Brunch used to be at Narcoosee's (it was wonderful).https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1052388

One more vote for California Grill brunch, it is one of my favourite meals anywhere in the world (and the ADR I always book on a trip now)!

Though as others have said, not sure when it will be back or what format it will take as the highlight of it was the appetiser buffet...

I haven’t been to the Kitchen although I am thinking of it next time I do a Universal stay. I don’t get the impression that it is anything comparable to CG brunch though, as reflected in the price, seems to me to be a bog standard hotel breakfast. So I would not necessarily be thinking either / or but would be purely thinking whether I want to pay for CG brunch or not.

I have done CG Brunch and it was superb, but I paid with dining credits, it isn’t something I would do every trip if paying cash.

Dr JJ would be a good one to comment on this if he sees the thread, I am sure he would have been to both.
