Virgin Glitch Upgrade?

Evening all
I’ve just logged in to our LHR-LAS booking for October, where we booked economy outbound and upper for the return, as we managed a bargain in the reward seat sale last month. I booked seats a few weeks ago, and I was just logging in to check times etc and I notice that for my husband only, his outbound flight is showing as upper too? We definitely didn’t pay for that, in fact we would have preferred outbound to be upper but there was no availability. Mine (separate booking ref) is still showing as economy.

Could this be a system glitch? It won’t load the seat map or let me choose a seat. I don’t want to ring Virgin and ask in case we have a bonus accidental upgrade lol, has anyone else had similar before? The system may correct itself tomorrow, if not I will have to ring and fess up!

Sounds like an op up- but it very much could change anytime from now until the flight. Especially if they change the aircraft type (even at the gate)

I had 5x premium economy seats outbound courtesy of virgin due to there system not charging us for our economy seats and allocating the seat. By the time they sorted the issue out all the economy seats had been sold and allocated. So all I paid for was return economy seats. Result.
