August 2021 - feeling flat as a pancake
hi Guys,
We are booked for 19th August 2021...was supposed to be 2020, but y'all know the back story .. Anyway, we have paid for the Disney and Discovery cove tickets, reserved the days at the parks, but i just cannot muster up any enthusiasm at all, which for me, little miss disney, is unbelievable! We have been visiting WDW since we married put there 25 years ago, usually I am planning all year, I just have a nagging doubt in my mind that the floriday will even go ahead next year 🙈🤷 xx anyone planning next summer, whats your plans, I need some inspiration 😉 are you confident? 😘😘 |

I’m confident for September next year (and August too) but it’s not the time to get excited. I can’t really look forward to it until we start getting some positive news about Covid. I’m hoping by November when we can book flights that things will be a little clearer and we can start to get excited then.

We're booked to fly out 24th Aug, Not doing Disney this time, doing US IOA SW and 2 water parks, then off to Clearwater for some rest and relaxation.
I think once UK visitors start going out and we here some more positive news then enthusiasm levels will rise

We're booked for December 2020 with zero percent excitement I just want to know if its going to happen which obviously nobody call tell us.
I've thought about full refund and going somewhere else and plan for a 2022 Florida but I don't want to go anywhere else |

We’re booked for next year too, but I’m trying not to think about it Too much yet. I’m sure it’ll happen (probably with some form of restrictions), but like you I can’t muster the excitement level and effort that I put into the 2020 trip which got cancelled.
I’m sure we’ll all feel much more positive in a few months time, when things are clearer though. It will be amazing, different, but still amazing. Positive thinking, just not excitement .. yet. 😊 |

Look on the bright side:
Hopefully vaccinations will have at least started by then Likely the USA will have a different President The parks will have had over a year to fine tune and/or remove their covid precautions. The weather will still be miles better than here.

We have been booked for September 2021 since before this all started. I think the hardest thing is having the pre-trip anticipation not be the same!
