I received two seperate emails from Virgin cancelling each flight individually. But I booked directly with Virgin, not via a Travel Agent. You could try to submit the Twitter transcript along with the e-ticket confirmation. Your credit card provider will contact you if they require additional information.

I paid with our Virgin Atlantic CC. Wonder if they will do a chargeback on themselves. Our flights were cancelled in May for our July fights. Although I have contacted Virgin for refund but so far heard nothing. Is the 120 days from when they cancelled or from when you should have flown.

We booked a flight with virgin in June 2020 with the virgin Atlantic cc for flights March 2021.
We got cold feet overnight and cancelled by text the following day which was within the 24 hour cooling off period.
Was told we would have to wait 120 days for our money back.
Rang virgin credit card and said there was nothing they could do as the flight was in the future.
Will wait for refund then close cc.
Will fly with virgin one more time to use up my points and companion flight then I am done with them also

Well decided to test Virgin Atlantic CC and have put my claim in against the Airline. See how long it takes fir them to respond to this.

Virgin Atlantic is a completely different company than the credit card. The credit card is from Virgin Money (giving VA points) so they will have no problem in processing.

I reclaimed via Barclaycard. It took 8 weeks as they have a massive backlog of disputes. Money finally back on my card on Monday.

I organised a chargeback via Amex following many issues with Air France. Got the cash back immediately. BUT be aware: As soon as the airline supply any evidence (valid or not) to dispute the chargeback then Amex WILL reverse the chargeback and this can happen at anytime. There’s no time limit. And without contacting you first. They (re)take your money and then send you the letter. The safest way to get your cash is via S75. I honestly couldn’t believe that AF had the audacity to challenge / dispute my chargeback when i had the weight of EU law on my side.

Well all completed full refund from Virgin Atlantic CC back into my account. Took 2 weeks from filling in paperwork.
