Epcot FP _ please help!

I only want TT and character FP in Epcot and they are both tier 1.My question is this: if I book the 2 tier 2 fp first (but don't use them as we are visiting in the evening) and then use the TT will it let me book another tier 1 or do you have to physically tap the magic bands for them to count. Thanks

I believe that - as of last month - Character Spot has now gone back to Tier 2, so worth checking. Some reports suggest it has been changing back and forth.

To answer your question though, you can simply let the fastpasses expire, rather than needing to actually check in for them. However, if you aren't going until the evening, there is no guarantee any additional fastpasses will still be available by then.

Characters still showing as tier 1 for me 🙁
