Help Yosemite

Hi all

Leaving this Saturday, flying to San Fran staying for 3 days then staying in Groveland for Yosemite. Plan is to stay in Groveland, get up early next morning and go to Yosemite. Any advice would be greatly received as the best way to see Glacier point, Tunnel view. Half Dome etc. Thanks in anticipation.

When we went there were free shuttle buses around the park that went to all the popular spots for viewing. They go from the village centre but get there very early to park your car. A lovely place

Go straight to Glacier Point, you will get a great view of Half Dome from there along with several waterfalls although they may just be a trickle at the moment. On the way to Glacier Point you could go to Taft Point or Sentinel Dome, a great 360 degree view from Sentinel Dome of the valley and the whole park.

You will pass Tunnel View on the way to Glacier Point but I would do it on the way back to the valley.

You may then have a problem getting parked in the valley but there are lots of places to stop and admire the scenery. You can see Half Dome from Sentinel Bridge near the main part of Yosemite Village.
