Really? Without even thinking...
Griffith Observatory (in fact Griffith Park itself), Hollywood Boulevard, California Science Centre, Rodeo Drive, Bronson Caves, Hollywood sign, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, The Getty Center, Petersen Automotive Museum and La Brea Tar Pits. LA has so much to offer that Orlando doesn't have. |

LA some love it and love Disney ,would probably go and do the basics but no more than 3 days. Others will say do a week there. It's a massive place and 100 miles across and traffic can be mayhem. Just have a look at a map and start writing down what your must sees our and go from there

Guys I think you missed the point of my comment which is I wouldnt go to LA especially for Disney if you have done Disney in orlando. Looking forward to our next U S trip which will be number 16 . Lots of national parks and great scenery for us rather than a sprawling city that does have some good things to see and do. This is why I suggested 3 days to do the main places.

Oh I understand what you mean now
plans have pretty much all changed now too. Think we are just going to do Vegas now and have a roadtrip to see the canyons. |

the plan is
2 days in Vegas 1 day in Zion and stay overnight probably glamping 1 day at Bryce canyon stay overnight in Page 1 day in Monument Valley Stay in flagstaff for 2 nights 1 day at GC Back to Vegas for 4/5 days Trying to convince the BF as can get flights, 5 different hotels and car hire for roughly £850-£900 each. He doesn't seem to realise how good of a holiday this would be and what a bargain it is |

We are doing a similar trip in a couple of weeks but without GC and MV as visited before. The Canyons are spectacular can’t wait to see Bryce and Zion. Completely different but we love Vegas too. GC is well worth an overnight stay at an on site hotel to see a sunrise and sunset. That is a good price and you won’t be disappointed.
