A Full Day and 2 Evenings in GC - Things to Do

Hi

Have just booked our trip for next June, and now in the very early stages of planning what to do in each location. I'm starting with GC as its our shortest stay.

We are staying in Kachina Lodge, can we park at the hotel?

Things I have so far, wander around the Historic Village. Free shuttle buses on various routes getting off at the points of interest.

Dinner in El Tovar, Harvey House or Arizona Room on both nights. Any views on these restaurants.

Is the Historic Village bustling in the evening?

Will that fill up our time? Are there any short boat trips on smooth water or is it all white water? I could only find trips for several hours long.

I don't want to do the mule rides.

Many thanks for any info.

I have stayed overnight twice (Bright Angel Lodge) but both times in the winter village very quiet at night and most things shut early but its a morning and day thing and also may be different in season.

I will be there again in a Month so will let you know

Lovely thank you.

Just found out there is no smooth water for hours, so that's fine.
